My experience seems to be dramatically different than many of the others leaving reviews. Friendly service, timely quality food from kitchen, no pressure to rush us as I finished sneaking in 4th quarter of a game 7 in the NBA Playoffs from my phone.

We had a great meal! I ordered onion rings and bison short ribs with French fries subbed in. The onion rings had a great batter and were very crunchy. The bison was absolutely fantastic! Very juicy and tender with great flavor. The ambiance is a perfect balance between rustic and modern. The service was attentive with water refills and friendly. A treat and luxury fitting for such an idyllic setting.

We had a wonderful dining experience at the Obsidian Dining Room at Old Faithful Snow Lodge. The service was outstanding — special thanks to Joy for taking such great care of us! We ordered the bison short rib, duck wings, and the beet salad, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, and the presentation was lovely. This meal was truly one of the highlights of our stay in Yellowstone. Highly recommend if you're visiting the area!

I always love to see a good restaurant in national parks, as we sometimes can't find anything to eat after hiking. They serve game here. I expected this place to be just a regular American restaurant, but I was surprised that the dishes are made from game, bison, boar, etc. Game meat is not my favorite, so I won't rate this place based on my opinion. However, the people who went with me said all the dishes were good. That said, the boar pasta and chili were delicious in my opinion. The service was slow but really friendly.

I’m surprised the reviews are so low. We had a good experience dining here. Staff is friendly, food is good. Entries are a bit on the pricier end, but the portions are big and the appetizers are reasonable priced.

Given the fact that you are in a national park, the food, service, and atmosphere here is great. We never had to wait long for a table. The service can be slow but the place is always very busy. It’s reasonably priced for being in a national park. We really enjoyed the lava cake dessert.

Fried Ravioli tastes good. Bison rib steak has a unique flavor, I am not a huge fan of it. Strongly recommend crispy duck leg, it’s good. The price here is acceptable, considering in Yellowstone it’s a five star restaurant.

We enjoyed the Xanterra couples tour. Many of the meals were mandated at the Old faithful inn - expensive and mediocre. When we had the choice, we talked over to Obsidian. The food there was delicious. The manager stopped at every table every time we were there. he helped his staff with clearing and serving. He exemplified great leading by example. If we go back to Yellowstone, we'll eat there again.
